Emergency Pipe Burst Repair in Taman Pelangi

The Situation

At 11pm, Mr. Lim called Ace Plumber Johor Bahru in a panic. A burst pipe beneath his kitchen sink had sent water flooding across the entire ground floor of his Taman Pelangi home. With water spreading rapidly and no way to stop it himself, he needed an emergency plumber fast.

• Water had penetrated kitchen cabinet base and spread approximately 2 metres across the tiled floor
• No structural damage to cabinetry or walls beyond surface moisture

The Solution

Our plumber carried out a systematic repair to restore full function and prevent recurrence:

1. Isolated water supply at the mains to halt all flooding immediately
2. Removed the failed copper joint and inspected the full under-sink pipe run
3. Replaced the corroded section with new PPR (Polypropylene Random Copolymer) pipe and fittings — more durable and corrosion-resistant than copper
4. Pressure-tested the new installation to confirm zero leaks before restoring water supply
5. Dried and cleaned the affected floor and cabinet area before leaving the site

Total job duration: 2.5 hours. Water supply fully restored. No further leaks.
