The Tan family had just moved into a double-storey home in Iskandar Puteri and quickly noticed a frustrating problem. Our Assessment
Our plumber visited the property to measure the incoming supply pressure and inspect the existing plumbing layout. Key findings included:
- The home relied solely on direct mains pressure, which dropped sharply on the upper floor
- No water storage tank was installed, so any drop in municipal supply was felt immediately at the taps
- Pressure measured well below the comfortable level needed for the upstairs shower and water heater to perform properly
- The flat rooftop slab was structurally suitable for mounting a storage tank and booster system

The Solution

- Installed a 1000L stainless steel storage tank on the rooftop slab, mounted on a level, load-rated base
- Fitted a Grundfos booster pump with an automatic pressure controller to maintain steady flow on demand
- Ran new feed piping from the tank and pump to serve all bathrooms, the kitchen, and the water heater across both floors
- Installed a float valve and overflow line on the tank to prevent overfilling and wastage
- Pressure-tested the full system and balanced the flow so upstairs and downstairs outlets perform evenly
Total job duration: 1 day. Steady, reliable water pressure restored to every outlet in the home.
The upstairs bathrooms now run at full, consistent pressure even during peak evening hours. The 1000L tank also gives the Tan family a comfortable reserve whenever the municipal supply is interrupted.
